Sensei Andy is a 3rd degree blackbelt from originally from Blackfoot, Idaho, but as the owner and operator of a trucking firm, he has lived and done judo all over. He started Judo in 1999 at Idaho State University, and, in addition to training and teaching at Roughrider Judo, he also trains in Kochi, Japan while visiting his children there.

“I enjoy doing judo everywhere I visit”, says Sensei.

Freestyle wrestling season means our annual migration to another night is upon us!

Monday night classes will end on January 29th.

The new night for class will be Wednesdays, starting on Feb. 7th, at the same time (7:00pm).

we will return to Monday nights at 7:00pm on May 7th.

Join us at the Red River Dojo in Fargo, ND for our Winter Training Festival hosted by St Cloud State Gentle Ways.

We will be volunteering at Jefferson Elementary for the 15th year on january 26th from 1:30-3:00pm.

Gentle Ways Judo is a non-profit organization, dedicated to teaching Judo. All instructors are volunteers.

Evening gathering to follow at Gastropub starting at 6pm.  Dinner will be a buffet style similar to last year with several pizza and pasta options.  See the attached registration form and select from there.

The T-shirts this year will feature the rooster below.  We will have pricing and preorder info coming soon as well.  We will hopefully have both regular cotton and dry fit t-shirt options available.
