Sensei Nick Lambert came from a competitive high school and college wrestling background to judo in 1996. His instruction at the Bismarck Gentle Ways Judo club was long, as he had to travel 100 miles one-way every week for classes. He received his Shodan in 2004. Sensei Lambert has competed internationally despite the distances involved. "The best aspect of teaching judo," Nick says, "Is that I get to learn, too."
Nick was instrumental in founding the Roughrider Judo Club's Introduction to Judo for Juniors class which we hold every summer for children and young adults.
